SFL Data is seeking a technical analyst to join its Forensic team. SFL Data is an end-to-end provider of electronic discovery and litigation consulting services located in downtown San Francisco. This position will report to the VP of Forensics.
Responsibilities:
• Forensic data collection, analysis, and processing tasks – in support of investigations, expert witness, and electronic discovery matters
• Computer system testing, configuration, and maintenance – both hardware and software related
• Assisting senior staff members in providing excellent service to our clients
• Various other tasks in support of our growing forensics lab
• May involve some local travel and minimal, infrequent air travel
Qualifications:
• Stellar information technology credentials (e.g. degree(s) in computer science, certifications such as A+, CISSP, CISA, etc).
• Two or more years of system administration / network administration experience
• Administration of email, document managing, and / or archiving technology is a plus
• Deep understanding of file systems and hard disk drive structures
• Strong command of computer networking
• Proficiency with virtual computing
• Demonstrated, advanced knowledge of non-Windows operating systems
• Programming , scripting, and/or database design experience is a plus
• Information security and / or incident response experience / credentials is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must possess ability to describe complex technical concepts / ideas in non-technical terms, to less technical audiences
• Ability to effectively balance multiple projects and responsibilities, often under tight time frames
• Clear understanding and recognition that work schedule is ultimately determined by client needs, and may involve after-hours and/or weekends
• Strong analytical / problem-solving skills
• Prior experience working at a law firm, litigation support provider
Minimum Education Required:
• Degree(s) in computer science, certifications such as A+, CISSP, CISA, etc).
