Expert on Corporate Governance, Technology Integration, Legal Compliance Programs Brings First-Hand Knowledge of Law Firms’ and Corporations’ eDiscovery Managed Service Requirements

 San Francisco, Calif. – December 21, 2011 SFL Data, the first provider of a fixed-price eDiscovery managed service for corporations and law firms, announced that Dan Cooperman has been named to its Board of Advisors. Mr. Cooperman will advise SFL Data executives on corporate matters and support the company as it continues to expand its eDiscovery managed service model. He is currently Of Counsel with the Bingham McCutchen law firm, focusing on corporate and transactional matters, corporate governance, board of directors’ issues, consultation on the role of the general counsel and management of a global corporate law department. Previously, Mr. Cooperman served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Apple Inc. from 2007-2009 and senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Oracle Corporation from 1997-2007.

In addition to serving on Stanford Law School’s Advisory Council for the Law, Science and Technology Program, he is a Fellow at Stanford’s Rock Center for Corporate Governance and a lecturer in law at Stanford Law School.
