To Expand Litigation Support for Corporations and Law Firms, Supports eDiscovery Specialists Certification and Continuing Education

San Francisco, Calif. – June 21, 2010 – SFL Data, a leading electronic discovery solutions provider for corporations, government agencies and law firms, recently added three new discovery consultants – Melanie Bennetts, Éamonn Markham and Andrea Yuen – to its 80-person team. Bennetts specializes in analytical culling and review and has consulted with multiple clients on in-house review software selection, as well as hosting review services. Markham is an attorney with experience in corporate litigation for multi-million dollar deals, venture financings and bankruptcy, including working on the Enron case. Yuen has experience in business development for corporations like Sprint and has managed IP portfolios for multiple start-up companies.

“Discovery is an especially multifaceted aspect of litigation support, so we’re consistently exploring ways to expand our knowledge to ensure our corporate and law firm clients receive the most up-to-date and thorough counsel,” said SFL Data CEO Christian Lawrence.

In addition to adding new discovery consultants, SFL Data supported several associates on their quest for certification, training and personal development. For example:

  • Discovery Solutions Consultant Dave Swider recently became one of only two Relativity-Certified Sales Professionals (RCSP) on the West Coast. The certification enables Swider to increase the number of document decisions per hour, provide sliding-scale pricing and incorporate other Relativity best practices. In addition to litigation-specific achievements, this month Swider rode 100 miles around Lake Tahoe as part of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training efforts to fund lymphoma, leukemia and myeloma research. He raised $15,600, which earned him first place in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Senior Project Manager Michelle Luke recently attended a Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) conference to enhance her understanding of eDiscovery issues from an attorney’s perspective. Luke also attended a three-day Clearwell University training program through which she became certified to use the software tool for data processing, case creation, tag creation and production management.
